COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – Verdant & Co 2023

As the Coronavirus, hereinafter referred to as the ‘COVID-19’, continues to spread throughout the world, Verdant & Co is taking proactive steps to protect the safety of its customers, products, care for its employees, their families and support the communities around the world.

Health and Safety

Verdant & Co sources ingredients and makes, moves and sells products from around the world. Most of our raw materials and goods are imported from Australasia and other parts of the world. We ensure that our vendors are taking the strictest measures to meet the standard hygiene and quality standards and their employees are following measures of wearing masks, using sanitisers, applying social distancing and abiding with any rules and instructions provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) to make hygiene and safety a priority. Product safety is our top priority and we want to reassert that direct risk to our product or ingredients is very low.

We are taking every precaution across our supply chain, and continue to work closely with authorities across our businesses and around the world to ensure the continued safety of our products and manufacturing locations everywhere we do business.

Global health agencies have made clear the most effective thing we can do to fight COVID-19 is to practice good hygiene, and we are taking this advice very seriously. We have increased cleaning frequency at all facilities globally, re-emphasised the importance of proper handwashing, and we are expanding the availability of hand sanitiser in our facilities.

Our product range includes Hand Sanitisers and Soaps which are highly effective to combat with COVID-19 as stated by international health organisations. During a global health pandemic, the easiest, and most important way to prevent the spread of a virus is to wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitisers.

Verdant & Co suggests the following measures which are considered to be highly important in these times to its employees, their families, customers, and community.

Travelling/commuting measures:

  • In-person meetings should be done virtually where possible, especially with non-company parties (e.g. candidate interviews and partners).
  • If you normally commute to the office by public transportation and do not have other alternatives, you can request to work from home as a precaution.
  • If you are planning to travel voluntarily to a high-risk country with increased COVID-19 cases, we’ll ask you to work from home for 14 calendar days. You will also be asked not to come into physical contact with any colleagues during this time.

General hygiene rules:

  • Wash your hands after using the toilet, before eating, and if you cough/sneeze into your hands (follow the 20-second hand-washing rule). You can also use the sanitisers you’ll find around the office.
  • Cough/sneeze into your sleeve, preferably into your elbow. If you use a tissue, discard it properly and clean/sanitise your hands immediately.
  • Open the windows regularly to ensure open ventilation.
  • Avoid touching your face, particularly eyes, nose, and mouth with your hands to prevent from getting infected.
  • If you find yourself coughing/sneezing regularly, avoid close physical contact with your co-workers and take extra precautionary measures (such as requesting sick leave).

Recommended cleaning process

Gather the items needed for cleaning before entering the area and cleaning begins. This may include the following:

  • personal protective equipment (PPE)
